Data Science & Computer Vision

Process, Pharma & Manufacturing Industry

Our Service

We help businesses and research institutes to leverage the new developments in data science with object identification and recommender systems using computer vision. Our focus is to develop and implement solutions in product lines and processes of small to medium-sized businesses.  No off-the-shelves solution, every project is specifically developed to our customers with long-term support for the application, implementation, and future developments.

End-to-End

From data mining to standalone software with graphical user interfaces, we create the solution to your computer vision problem. We simulate and train your models on our own servers and either bring the solution to the common cloud providers or integrate the solution into your workflow with custom workstations for offline use.

0$ Licensing

We develop software in our own open-source, permissive free framework and use other, suitable permissive free solutions, which means no licensing fee for you. The code we develop in your project, you own. Scale the developed software to your needs and include it in your existing (commercial) software package.

What we do

Process Control

The development of high-quality in-line probes and on-line measuring techniques enables you to look directly into your process. We help you to automate these new insights with machine learning to extract vital process information in real-time. Particle size, shape, and concentration, as well as event recognition like coalescence and break-up, are the day-to-day parameters we extract for our customers. Use it in multiphase-reactors, steam generators, and crystallizers for optimal process control. Our partners have the measuring technology - we help to extract the information with state of the art machine learning and computer vision techniques. Contact us

Visual Inspection

Self-driving cars show us the possibilities of machine learning algorithms in the field of computer vision. Recognizing and inspecting objects from pictures is an important step towards smart processing plants. From event detection to inspecting products, we help you to make your plant smarter. Contact us

Inspect product with cameras is a standard procedure to improve product quality in a variaty of applications.

Recommender Systems

Recommender systems based on images will help your customers to choose the right product from a large catalog. Another application is to recommend replacement parts from pictures/camera footage. Contact us to learn how we can help you.

Flow Visualization

The rapid development of the camera technology allows us to look in almost every process and use high-resolution high-speed cameras for process and product monitoring.

We help you design your customized optical setup to get the best pictures from your problem. If the problem exceeds our possibilities, we have the right partners for specialized application.

Over the last years, we developed the Particle Shadowgraphy Velocimetry (PSV) for multiphase flows. By reducing the laser for PIV measurements, the setu-up is only a fraction of the cost and the method can be applied outside of laser labs.

Annotation Tools

Over the last 10 years, we develop specialized computer vision applications for the process industry. With this experience, we can design annotation tools specifically to your problem to speed-up the time-consuming process of annotating objects in pictures.

Pairing the latest computer vision techniques with unsupervised machine learning techniques will reduce the annotation time to a minimum. After the initial annotation work is done, we implement a neural network that learns with your annotation.

Data Pipelines

We build the database and develop the data-pipeline to your problem. Streaming the data from the measuring device to your database and produce publish-able dashboards in the cloud or using your intranet.

Data Visualization

Making complex data accessible to decision processes is one of the most important task in data science. We leverage the state of the art dashboards to make all data accessible and easy understandable. We also integrate the data pipeline into your workflow so that your engineers have the data available in their environment.

Our goal is to bring the recent developments in the field of machine learning to the small and medium-sized businesses in the process industry. While those developments are already implemented in the retail, finance and automotive sector, the chemical and bio industry has a lot of potential to use these techniques. Our core team, which consists of engineers, physicist, and software developers, is specialized on computer vision and predictive modelling tasks in this field. We serve our customers as analyst, data engineer and model developer for either application developement or get you started in the field of data science.

With our scientific partner the Helmholtz-Zentrum Dresden Rossendorf (HZDR), we developed an open-source, permissive-free framework to develop end-to-end computer vision and modelling applications. All of our developments are done in this framework and we have the philosophy that the software we build for our customers, is owned by our customers.
